Pubs & Eating Out

Brewed Boy

Tiny brew bar in the centre of Frome, for beer lovers it is a must.

Castello Italian in Frome

Family run restaurant, very good authentic meals and such a warm welcome. A firm favourite.

Thai Kitchen

Tiny restaurant in centre of Frome – amazing Thai food – take your own vino.

Cross Guns at Avoncliff

Sister pub to The Inn at Freshfood. Cross Guns has a lovely walk along the canal and riverside setting. Bit of a pain to drive down to but well worth it. Large garden for eating, pub small. best on a sunny day.

The Inn at Freshford

Fantastic pubs for food. Booking recommended. Sister pub to the Cross Guns at Avoncliff.

The Mill at Rode

Nice location, next to river, slightly chaotic service. Dog friendly inside and out.

The George at Norton St Philip

Beautiful medieval building and view from beer garden across the cricket pitch in Summer is amazing – stick to the pub, the restaurant is not as convivial.

The George at Nunney

Opposite the castle, very friendly, huge pub meals, very good burgers.

The Talbot Inn at Mells

Lovely rustic pub for fab pub grub, Grill room for more special occasions – the Rolling Stones stayed here when they played Glastonbury. Dog friendly.
